1. Will Caffè Hardy capsules work with my Nespresso Original Line machine?
Yes! Our capsules are designed to be compatible with all Nespresso Original models (i.e. Citiz, Essenza, Latissima, etc.)
2. But will they REALLY work with my Nespresso Original machine?
Yes, and we guarantee it! We have tested Caffè Hardy capsules with every Original machine that we could get our hands on, so we're confident that they are compatible. However, if you run into any compatibly issues with your Nespresso Original machine whatsoever, we'll be glad to make things right.
3. Will Caffè Hardy capsules work with my Nespresso Vertuo Line machine?
No, Caffè Hardy will not work with Vertuo Line machines. Our capsules are only compatible with Nespresso Original Line machines.
4. Are the capsules BPA free?
Yes, the capsules are made out of 100% BPA-free plastic.
5. Why are the capsules individually sealed in trays?
Oxygen is coffee's worst enemy, which is why Caffè Hardy nitrogen flushes each capsule to remove all oxygen before individually sealing each capsule in an airtight try. That way, each shot is perfectly fresh when you're ready to brew it.
6. Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes, all of Caffè Hardy's packaging is recyclable, depending on your locale. To recycle the capsule, the components must be separated (aluminum, plastic and coffee). Please check with your municipal recycling authority for local requirements.
7. What shot size do you recommend for Caffè Hardy capsules?
We recommend a traditional Italian ristretto shot (1oz. or less). This will deliver maximum flavor and deliver that espresso "punch" that Italian coffee is known for.
8. Can I brew a lungo shot with Caffè Hardy capsules?
Of course! But keep in mind that Italian roasters (including Caffè Hardy) don't blend their coffees with lungo shots in mind, since this larger brew size (2+ oz.) is not common in the country.
For a larger cup size, and to maximize the richness of the espresso, we'd recommend brewing several ristretto (1oz.) shots.
9. What if I don't like any of the varieties?
Your happiness is our number one priority. If you don't find a new favorite, please let us know, and we'll make things right.
